Which Piping Profession is right for you?
​
Pipefitters and Steamfitters: install, maintain and repair piping systems for applications such as power plants, refineries and heavy industrial facilities. They also install and maintain systems important to consumers in residential homes and commercial facilities. Pipefitting skills are critical as new energy sources are developed for energy independence. Lucrative and sustainable careers are present in the constructive industry and will increase well into the future.

Plumbers: perform essential work that protects the health and safety of our citizens. Plumbers install drinking water, waste and ventilating systems in homes, offices, schools, hospitals and manufacturing facilities.They also build wastewater treatment systems to ensure the security of our potable water. The demand for plumbers and will increase significantly in the the years ahead due to the growing focus on green and sustainable technologies, water conservation and energy efficiency.

Service Technicians: install, maintain and repair plumbing, heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems. They perform these essential duties throughout residential commercial and industrial sectors. Theses skilled working also perform essential work towards our national goal to improve energy efficiency. The demand for these technicians is predicted to grow by more than 30 percent in the next several years.

Welders: are found in almost every site worldwide. These skilled workers cut and join a variety of steel, cast iron, plastic materials complex and specialized products. Projects range from pipelines and power plants to pharmaceutical and computer chip factories. These critical skills are crucial now as estimates show there will be a demand of hundreds of thousands of skilled and certified welders.
