APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING
The Plumber protects the health and safety of the community by removing waste water and providing pure water to residential, commercial and industrial buildings for drinking, cooking, washing, cleaning, manufacturing, and personal use.

Each year in the apprenticeship program consists of 1700 hours of on-the-job training under the direct supervision of a Journeyperson. Apprentices spend two evenings per week in class with a traditional Summer break. During class, students are taught science, theory, and practical application of the trade. Along with classroom related instruction, apprentices are provided the opportunity to perform "hands on" training for industrial pipefitting/welding, mechanical piping and all aspects for plumbing from code compliance to installation of plumbing fixtures.

Our apprentices enrolled in the HVACR program are provided hands on training in electrical, service/maintenance of existing systems and new construction with emphasis on the latest green technologies.

At the end of the five-year training period, after all classroom and on-the-job requirements have been met, the apprentice is granted journey level classification and awarded a completion certificate from the State of California and the United Association.
